Jalil never had an ordinary life. Born in a refugee camp, he has always been on the move. Now he must flee again because he demonstrated against an Iranian officer’s rape of a young girl.
The girl was thrown out of a fourth-floor window. The demonstrations lasted two days and ended when the police arrived. Then it was time for Jalil to flee again.
Jalil had to live in a tent, in a forest somewhere in Europe, with his wife, Parvin, and their two children. One night two men with knives broke into the tent while the family was sleeping. They stole the family’s things. Jalil got a bad cut on his hand trying to defend his family.
